I’m no expert, but am curious if the barrel is/was blocked.

If this is fedarms stuff, I’ve heard of enough negative experiences that I would not shoot it. In my mind, fedarms does not constitute quality reman/reloads.

Lets note that "Federal Armament" is a 100% different company from Federal Cartridge. These "factory reloads" come in boxes like this, or bags, or buckets:

A buddy of mine had a similar experience a while back with LAX 40 cal reloads. Didn't blow up his sig but a case failure blew off the extractor and peppered him with powder. Glad no one was standing beside him with an extractor in the side of their head !

Yikes! Glad the shooter is ok. I'll stick to reloading.
