All I had left to do was click YES and 1000rds Tula .223 would have been headed my way @ $0.25/ea.

I decided to ask you gurus what your thoughts are on ammo pricing over the next 6 months.

Give me the good, the bad, and the ugly information.

I got a feeling it might get crazy again. Also 25 cents is a very good price, the stuff I ordered was 38 cents. Get it if you got the cash for it.

Buy it if you can afford it. Looking at the macro, ammo prices will be going up as they have for years. Look at the price points for the different rounds 5 years ago compared to now. There will be ups and downs, but the overall trend is increasing prices.

I gotcha Eddie, maybe was too vague.

Specifically on .223, is $0.25 about as low as can be expected? I'm not worried over a 1 or 2 cent difference but a 5 cent drop would be worth holding out for.

Is there a reliable site that shows historical ammo prices?

    I gotta agree with grumper.

I don't think they are gonna start giving it away any time soon. Buy it.

Personally I would avoid Tula and spend a little more on Wolf but that is up to you.

Buy. If the price drops $50...youre "out" $50 but still have a thousand rounds of ammo. If the price increases and you havent bought you are out the money as well. Buy now and you can control the price you buy at.

I dollar cost averaged most of my ammo. Some was good priced most was just Academy or GT regular price one box at a time. I did buy a couple of cases and was glad I did. Havent bought much in 2 years. Started buying 9mm again when I see it at a fair price.

Is $50 worth the peace of mind to have the ammo you need/want?

There's no need to be rude. :p

Obviously Tula is plinking ammo and so far my AR hasn't choked on anything. What makes Wolf better?
