1911's 4 Me, I should finish inventory this week and will post them if that is allowed. I am not really looking to these forums as just a sales avenue however. Sold 11 this past weekend, and should have about 7 sold this next weekend of different makes/models. I need to learn everyone's name LOL

Robert, agreed...I saw that spike a few years ago as well, but have not kept up with the trend. I appreciate you guys input and allowing me to think this through via the forums. Sometimes you see things people say and type thoughts out which help you make a more educated decision. I think I will get rid of them, as I don't see myself taking them to the range to shoot.

Posting them is fine, as long as you follow Forum rules.

    Out here by the lake!
If he was truly a collector there is a good chance he has some very nice representation. This could be a big money collection that if you want to sell & need help with take it to an auction house.

Start see what % of gun are all matching serial numbers

Post photos of the receivers on these, please.
These may not be "run-of-the-mill" Mosin Nagants or SKS.

Receiver dates, and manufacturers of these rifles are what control their value.

Even then, the common M44s today fetch from $250 to $350 depending on their bore and finish condition, and these look good.

If the SKS is the standard Triangle 26, it is a TY 56 and still valued at $400 to $600 (depending on the buyer)

Ozzman, is this what you are looking for?
    Yes, and no.

Let me begin with the SKS
What does the left side of the receiver (near the wood line) have on it?
If it is a Triangle 26, no worries. It's pretty standard. Great rifle, but typical run-of-the-mill and valued around $500 right now.

What you also have there are round receiver M44's. The top and the bottom rifle appear to have been manufactured by the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant/arsenal. The photos are blurry when I zoom in, so I cannot confirm the year. If so, these are going for around $350 each today.

However, the M44 in the middle looks like a 1954 Romainian M44 rifle. The photo is blurry on that one too.
If it is Romanian, to a collector these can fetch between $400 to $600 today depending on matching numbers and bore condition.
If you must sell, for sure don't sell this one yet. It will appreciate faster than the other two in time.

Ozzman, got those markings you were referring to. SKS is the 4th one. Hope they are clear.

The FS2000 should go for a decent chunk. You can’t get them and they are one of the more modern / interesting bullpups. I wouldn’t let that go right away but do decent research on all the auction sites for the last sold prices and ask a bit above that.
Or keep it and get an AUG, L85, and tavor to have the set :D

    ALRIGHT!! Now we are talking.
Here is what I know about these 4 just on the markings alone:

    First M44 (RGUNS SN 19475)
    - It is a standard Izhevsk Arsenal M44 rifle manufactured in 1944
    - Stock and metal look in excellent condition, thus if the bore lands are nice and sharp it's potentially a good shooter.
    - Value today is around $300-$350

Second from left M44 (SN TV809)
    - As I expected, this one is a Romanian M44 manufactured in the Cugir Factory in 1954.
    - I personally would not get rid of this one unless the price is over $600. If you hold on to it a little longer and find the right collector, you will get what you want out of it.
    - Do not refinish this one!
    - IMO, shoot the rifle and add it to your collection.

Second from right M44 (SN RL3970)
    - This pastor knew what he was doing. That is a 1948 Izhevsk M44 (final year of production).
    - Nothing fancy, just cool to have.
    - Stock and metal look in excellent condition as well. Do all the numbers match?
    - Value today is around $350-$450

    The SKS
    - This rifle is not your standard Norinco, but rather a rare Chinese Factory 0132 Cast Receiver SKS.
    - IMO, this one too is a keeper.
    - It's definitely worth about $500 today, but who knows what it will be worth in a few years.
    - Do not bubba this one or replace the stock.

WoW, Ozz, thank you for the in depth look at these! Now I'm really torn on whether to sell them or not!

Ya...Doc (as we called him) really had a passion for firearms. He was a Sheriff at one time, then an IRS agent, then a Pastor for 30+ years. Guess he saw the craziness of people being a Sheriff, then how dishonest they were with the IRS, then became a Pastor to help them LOL :-)

Personally I'd sell the mosins. Not my thing.

However they can vary wildly in value to the right person, comb over each rifle and look up every marking on 7.62x54r.net.

The SKS is a handy little rifle, and it'd be the only one of those 4 I'd be willing to keep

All of them grow more and more expensive as time goes on

Never alter milsurp rifles. God will send you straight to hell for that.

No retard duck bill mags on SKS rifles unless they are crap. If you gotta add more capacity get a chicom 20 round fixed mag. Keep the origional.
People who sporterize milsurps are made to sit in between hitler and mussolini in hell.
