I have another four years to serve on this enlistment, and, well, I just dont know how I feel about that. I love the military, what it stands for and truly appreciate what it means to serve, but I am truly worried right now. There is a part of the Oath that I have taken three times now, "I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States...." and I am truly worried about how I, and others like me, will be tested on this........I foresee these two highlighted sections conflicting each other over the next four years...

It is the noblest of professions, and cannot imagine doing anything else, but my allegiaance is to my Country, and there is a reason we are the greatest Nation. I honestly think it is because of the freedoms we have, because of the sacrifices we, as a people and as a nation have made since 1776, and the socialist leanings of the demoncratic party could very well tear it all apart....

Another unhappy camper here too. I listened to McCain's speech but I'm not really in a good sportsmanlike conduct mood to give any time or attention to the President elect. Though I am conflicted, McCain gave a helluva speech, and intellectually, that is the right road he took. But I'm not near ready enough to practice what was preached.

Meanwhile I shall remain bitter and cling to my guns(that's what we do, right?) and go on about life despite who's in office. Though it surely is not the end of any gun rights fights - no sir, not by a long shot. The current circumstances has only thrown fuel on the fire. I am a mule-headed one, that's for sure.

It's close enough to 5pm...I've been waiting for hours. I'm going to finally have me a drink.

    Hang in yall.

I am filled with such unbelievable rage right now. I think it is due to the realization that, while this country is already in a financial and economical downturn, electing a very liberal Democrat into the presidential office as well as the majorities they are taking in the Senate, House, and Congress means this country is going to be financially and economically raped in every way imaginable for the next four years. The worst part is the majorities the Dem's will have, meaning they will be able to accomplish most of these things nearly unchallenged. My god, what are we going to do.

Actually I take that back. The worst part is knowing how fiscally, economically, and ethically irresponsible the Dem's are going to be with their majorities, and all of the turmoil and financial/economical/civil rights violations they will cause. Yet, no matter what you can almost guarantee the major media will never hold them accountable, and the average American idiot will continue to be oblivious to the truly socialistic and fascistic nature of the Dem's/Lib's.

Seriously, the stockpile is starting today. I'm cutting back on my recreational spending and using every free penny towards the stockpile. ;) You can almost guarantee unequivocally that another AWB will happen without a doubt, and will likely get rid of any loopholes the first one had. I would highly recommend everyone build their own stockpile, preferably with items that are sure to be banned. ;) I'm seriously not joking. Once they're gone, they are indeed gone as the Lib's aren't going to make the same mistakes twice.

I do know this. Now that Obama will be President, I do not want to hear one word about how a black person cannot make it in the U.S.

In fact, since a black man has now made it to the highest lever of power in this nation, I do not see a need for the NAACP, Negro College Fund, Affirmative Action or BET.

And no, I am not a racist, but enough is enough.

    AMEN.

I am tired of being labeled a racist if I criticize the black man.

I agree 100%. Hell, someone who isn't a minority has a harder time making it nowadays, or so it seems.
