I love the Taurus that I have but would like to upgrade. If that's what you would call it, , to the Beretta 92. What are the forum's thoughts?

The Taurus is a clone, I believe it is licensed, but it is a clone, handle them side by side and you will notice a difference. The 92FS or M9 can be had for about $500 NIB with 3 15 rnd mags....

The Taurus is not a clone, more like a derivative. Clones usually have interchangeable parts.

Taurus purchased the Beretta factory in Brazil, literally lock stock and barrel. No license purchased.

The Taurus has a frame mounted safety and other refinements not found in the Beretta.

The Taurus is definitely different from the Beretta. If you are receiving the Beretta then you should absolutely trade. How much did you pay for your Taurus?
