I love the Taurus that I have but would like to upgrade. If that's what you would call it, , to the Beretta 92. What are the forum's thoughts?

The Taurus is a clone, I believe it is licensed, but it is a clone, handle them side by side and you will notice a difference. The 92FS or M9 can be had for about $500 NIB with 3 15 rnd mags....

The Taurus is not a clone, more like a derivative. Clones usually have interchangeable parts.

Taurus purchased the Beretta factory in Brazil, literally lock stock and barrel. No license purchased.

The Taurus has a frame mounted safety and other refinements not found in the Beretta.
