I traded a DeHaan 12 ga sxs shotgun for the Ruger M77 MKII with a Redhead 3x9x40 scope plus $100. How did I do?

I think I will change out the scope as I don't think the Redhead scope is very good quality. Agree?

Depends on what grade and model the shotgun was.

It's a turkish shotgun imported by DeHaan and mfg'd by Huglu. DeHaan no longer imports them. The shotgun is similar to the CZ shotguns made by Huglu for CZ.

It depends, do you think it was a good deal? If so then hell yeah it was a good deal! As far as Redheads go it is a big debate as to who makes it, I know some people who claim they "are in the know" and that it is a private label Bushnell, then I read at SWFA that it is not a Bushnell but they all agree that it is made in China (but what isn't these days).

As far as quality.......it's a $200 scope try it for a while and see if you like it. I have read a few reviews where the higher magnification gets blurry but others think it's great.

I think this one gets blurry at higher magnification too. So, it will need to go. I'm not sure which model it was as it is probably an older model scope than what is currently in the catalog.

Decisions/Decisions = Nikon Monarch or Leupold VXII or III or 3 or Zeiss Conquest.

IMO 3200 is a great scope for a lil less have around 5 of them and never had a problem.

I ended up getting a Bushnell Elite 4200 in 3x9x40. I have it sighted in with a 3 shot group in an inch circle. I think I'm going to like this one!
