Damn. Don't people know not go get out of their damn cars during a traffic stop?

And I understand that the officer would have been highly concerned over the fella reaching into his truck, but damn - shouldn't you know if a person has a firearm before shooting at them instead of just assuming? And while old people can certainly commit heinous crimes, I would think his age and slow movements would give cause you to have a little more pause.

Horrible situation for both parties. I wish them both the best recoveries possible.
