More like Republican vs Republican, the Demonrats in the area may have decided to vote against the Trump candidate because of TDS! This is no more a "bellweather," than when NRA backs 10 candidates, and 1 loses, the media is all over the "1" !

Looked them up and checked their political pages. Jake seems to have a bit firmer stance on just about everything where Suzan says basically the same, but with less mojo.

Don’t think it had anything to do with Trump. Jake seemed to use far more combative language when it came to what the Dems and Biden are doing. Probably made a lot more difference than who Trump chose to endorse.

Ellzey narrowly lost to Ron Wright in the last election, so he already had a strong base. Doesn't prove anything in my book.

LOTS of lefties who 10 years ago never would have voted in a runoff in a special election between two Republicans to vote for Ellzey since he was viewed as the most moderate and less "Trumper" choice of the two. Pretty much made the difference.
