If true, What a phucking idiot. Not only will he lose, he will ensure dem dominance. The arrogance, this proves weather he cares about the country or not. His time has passed. We have better candidates without the baggage.

This isnt the way our system works. This is how parliamentarian barely functional socialist like systems work. Remember Ross Perot? He gave us the whole clinton legacy.

SMH indeed. The dems have destroyed themselves and set us up. Trump ruins that with this idea.

For those about to call me a never trumper or rino go autofornicate. To say so proves you dont pay attention to the whole trump subject on this site. Some of you folks have become religious extremists sucking on the trump cock and are blinded to realities of the totality of the situation, better younger candidates without the negatives. Trump is our Hillary clinton at this point. I doubt he can win again though I would vote for him if he was the nominee of the Republican party. Not a third party as that ensures a dem win. That's what will happen if he runs as a third party candidate. Hell it may happen if hes the Republican nominee.

There are what I would consider proper ways to build a viable 3rd party that supplants the Republican party. This said I think the Republican party is evolving to be a individual freedom big tent party as the left races to marxism and socialism.

Nationally a third party will never be a winner unless it supplants one of the other two. Locally is how you build that foundation from the ground up. It will never work top down.

    Will he or wont he......

Trump says hes starting a third party.

Trump backs down from starting a third party.

Trump needs to clearly say no more so we can move on. His buffoonery and arrogance say he enjoys thus too much to do any such thing.

The reason a 3rd party does not work is the 2 major parties have made it, illegally, impossible for 3rd parties to have ballot access OR be involved in debates. For all the bs about "fairness" in elections there is rarely any.

The only way a Trump 3rd party might work at this juncture is if his candidacy forced the Republican Party to not field a candidate in order to reduce the conservative damage...

otherwise, a Trump 3rd party can only split the conservative vote and favor the Democrat.

I don't see why Trump would need to run on a 3rd ticket because, if he runs as a Republican, I think he will win the nomination.

Lots of differing opinions! Should Trump run again? Should he start a new 3rd party?

Interesting questions, to say the least. Honestly, I liked what Trump did as president. I voted for him, twice. Has his time come and gone now? Honestly, I don't know. If he were to run again, would I vote for him again. I can't honestly answer that question at this time, because I just don't know. It would depend upon many things whether I would or wouldn't. I can say at this time, I won't totally rule him out as being a possible choice.

I do think there does need to be a 3rd party without a doubt. But as @candcallen stated, and I agree, it needs to start from the bottom up at the grass-roots level, gain momentum and build from there. I also believe it's way too short of a time period to bring in a 3rd party, and would take some years to build a viable 3rd party to go up against the Democrats and Republicans in a national race for president. I too think that at this point, trying to bring in a 3rd party would be a mistake.

I think a complete takeover or replacement of the Republican party could be successful and really think that's in progress. Trump really expanded the party, along with the race left of the dems and the VA election further solidified that process. The Republican platform is changing and expanding. Individual opportunity and freedom and the benefits of that are becoming the foundation.

The way forward is clear, time for others to take the baton and run.

So you're taking responsibility for the foundation of Clinton crime syndicate and its legacy?

    Lol
The Bush dynasty and the Clinton dynasty are just two sides of the same coin. As a former Bush supporter, I’m drawing the conclusion that they are just as corrupt as the Clintons. I’ll never again vote for the Bush name on any ticket. I too was part of the split vote for Perot, and twice a Trump voter

Don’t need a 3rd party. Just better candidates winning the primaries.

As for the next presidential election, I’m still on the DeSantis train. All the good things about Trump without the baggage.
