    Any Ryzen will blow the doors off of the previous builds. The overhaul of the internals was the right direction. The 5 is a good budget CPU if you need something that will be a workhorse. I'd still go with the 7 myself but thats because I have one and like it.

    The one I want is the 500 dollar 1800x but I have never spent that much on a processor so I am having trouble with justifying it lol

    It makes no sense to spend that much. The 1700x will do everything the 1800x can. They have the exact same specs except the 1700x is clocked lower but you can achieve that with an overclock since all of them are unlocked. I didn't justify it and went 1700x.
