Well, I know a few people who are gonna be banned from ever joining the fan club.

Shame too, we had some real nice TXI calendars going out this year.

He could stand to cut some slack on the word parsing (:p) but otherwise, I agree
I prefer the way TXI does that to posters who simply make assumptions. I've disagreed with him but I find him almost uniformly thoughtful. At least he reads and responds to what is written; that's a significant virtue.

    No, I don't twit.

I did send Shep an email several years ago when Napalatono (sp?). said in Texas it was legal to shoot a cop who tried to conduct an illegal search, so our laws suck.
but surely you agree that false arrest is kidnapping under the color of law and should be prevented by any means necessary
    surely

Why yes, yes it is indeed.

    1.) a gun free zone
    2.) your comfort zone

Hence my term *some slack*. I'm a firm believer that words having meaning and poorly chosen ones make things difficult. The *buying a rifle at 21* thread going on now is prime example.

For the most part I appreciate TI's posts but, that calendar ain't gonna sell if I'm not on the cover :p

Part of being a great teacher is calling out and challenging ideas and opinions. Even being nit picky and making students go back to the textbook and read or find out for themselves.

Although a bit gruff at times if you put on your thick skin TXI is a great teacher.

Yep, have nothing but respect for anyone obviously well informed on a subject upon which they choose to speak.

I spared with him once, and in retrospect I was a bit sloppy in a post and he called me on it. Albeit in a somewhat condescending way. But meh, I wrote it off. I did take a CHL renewal course from him and he was quite pleasant.

I think someone should design a TXI magic 8 ball. Every time you shake it you receive responses like this:

"According to section 5, sub section C of 413.51 of the Texas Penal Code, the answer is NO."

    ;) Just messin with ya.
