From what I can gather from the comments on the video ... They are pinned down at the top of the ridge opposite side from this solder , this guy was the first guy over.

So the squad came to the ridge, this guy is the first one on the face of the mountain. Wide open to the snipers on the other hill or in the village.

If the bad guys were smart they'd have waited till the whole squad was over the ridge.
