    Out here by the lake!
    Ok I’m gonna get a lot of shit for this but I never had spam...is it worth buying?
    Probably not for you. I grew up eating it & while it's not really a comfort food it's one of those foods that brings back memories that were not bad. The house I grew up in always had a few cans. Camping always meant at least one can.

    My dad worked a job where he often got snowed in during the winters. It was something he always had stashed @ work. Hell I can remember sitting on the living room floor eating Armor potted meat out of the can & on saltines with him. For those of you who turn up their noses @ Spam try a can of that poverty meat as I renamed it.

    Younggun,

    Just a commonplace Worldwideweird abbreviation for YOUNG MAN.
    (Have you not seen that abbreviation used, elsewhere?)

    yours, satx
    It's just that most people that use "YM" cannot spell "yung min."

    easy rider,

    A can of Sp*m, shot with a 25.06 is fairly spectacular.

    Even the "less salt" kind is TOO SALTY for me.

    yours, satx

    The first one of you heathens that mentions Vienna sausages will be shot!
    My favorite memory of those was summer camp in the boy scouts. Heard a noise in the middle of the night. Took a flashlight to investigate. Friggin raccoons were having a party opening the cans and macking down on them.

    YM = the Yankee Marshal

    Anyway, getting back on topic:), Spam seems to be an acquired taste. If your Mom didn't fry up some for supper when you were a kid, you probably won't like it as an adult. But that shouldn't keep anyone from trying it. I like it as an SLT sandwich. Spam, lettuce, tomato, with Mayo. A spamwich you could say.
