I had to send in a pistol for recall work. I drove about 40 miles to the nearest UPS hub. Boxed, sealed and marked as requested. I informed the girl behind the counter what it was and that it was unloaded. Supposed to be 2nd Day Air........Took 8 days to get from San Antonio to North Carolina!!!

Ask them for the picture of it sitting on your porch.
I've never had UPS do that.

Supposedly their system is integrated with the GPS on the truck so that when they scan the package as delivered, it verifies they are at the correct address, but I've had it happen twice now where I get the notification my package has been delivered, the website will even claim "proof of delivery", but my package isn't here. Both times my package was delivered the next day without any further notification.

Also, though this should be common sense, when you get a hold of a supervisor don’t go Karen. Just provide evidence, time of delivery, any witnesses, describing what happened in a calm manner.

Supervisor contacts is probably something they don’t want out. It’s something I’m sure doesn’t need enough attention that communication pathway gets shut down.

A driver I got a contact from made it clear he’s not supposed to provide a direct supervisor number but the supervisor himself also didn’t feel a need to throw anyone under the bus when I told him the claim system is a joke, I have strong evidence of something, and as a former supervisor myself I thought this could be more proactive. He was very receptive and corrective action was taken. I know it was taken as I witnessed the performance change.

Apparently no one. UPS “ lost” a ammo shipment sent to me about a month back. I contacted them & filed a claim.

    So far nothing from them.

I'm waiting on 2 separate ammo orders to arrive. Tracking shows that they might actually be arriving today, but I'll feel a lot better when I'm putting them in my ammo boxes. Henceforth, I think I will only buy from those who ship via FedEx. Methinks there's a highly lucrative business opportunity to create a delivery service that would ship high value items such as ammo, firearms & their parts and precious metals etc. using armored vehicles & armed support.

My UPS guy puts all deliveries on the porch and politely knocks on the door.
My Fed ex guy just puts them at the top of the drive ( rain or shine), and just drives off.

I'm also waiting on an ammo order that was placed the day this letter came out. Tracking shows it is still enroute. If this is actually a hoax, I have not seen anything from UPS refuting it.

I just now got off the phone with a firearm dealer I had an order with.
I ask her about this UPS delivery situation, she said she has heard it but has not had any problem.
She thinks it is also an internet hoax.

I checked my recent rifle, parts, tools, and ammo orders. 5 in the last week. 4 UPS, 1 USPS.
I suspect I won't receive the USPS delivery, since I haven't received any mail since last week. USPS Informed Delivery last showed a piece of mail on Saturday 7/2; it didin't arrive. Nothing since in Informed Delivery or in the mailbox. The post office says the postman is delivering everything that comes in. Hmmm.
