    Interesting. From Wiki, the 336 started production in 1948. That gun isn't very old for being so rough. And, why try to make it gas operated when real machine guns were already a thing? How do you fire it without it ripping your trigger hand fingers off when the lever throws open? It looks like the lever still has to be closed manually.

    The serial number dates that gun to 1981. It's not very old at all.
