    Have any of you dealt with ITAR when going out of the country for vacation or a hunting trip and taken NVG/Thermal with you? Was there any paperwork? Just risk it?

    The only times I’ve done that IDGAF because Uncle Sam told me not to worry about it.

    I’d be more worried about how the foreign .gov feels about it though.

    ETA: ITAR is covers sale/distribution of articles on the munitions list, not vacationing to hunt, but try explaining that to customs on your way back in.

    Customs declaration that you put anything of value on. When I safari hunted I took my PVS-14. It’s more about proving you owned it to re enter the county. Gun, scoped, cameras of value some guys might include there watches
