    Finally finished my Varmint AR!

Its a bit pieced together but turned out to be (IMO) a sweet rifle.

(Excuse the ladder rails and AFG... They came off a different rifle and are just being used for the time being)

    - AR 57 lower
    - Colt upper
    - 20" Krieger varmint barrel
    - Parallax tactical 15" rail
    - Magpul fixed CTR stock
    - Magpul MOE grip
    - Standard LPK - will be getting a match trigger asap. So far putting down sub MOA groups with little effort.
    - Pride Fowler 3-9x42 optic - first focal plane, BDC out to 600

Fully loaded it weighs in at 10lbs 12oz

Caliber? Sorry, had to ask. Chamber, twist rate of rifling & fodder to be fed out of it? Factory ammo or hand loads?

    Be well.

No worries. It's .223, 1/10 twist (I think. I'll have to double check). I have been shooting hornady 55gr steel match through it with great success. I want to get into reloading sometime soon.

10 twist? What bullets do you plan to shoot out of it?

10 is what I was told. I haven't checked it for myself. The guy I got it from said he shooting 50gr thru it and he just shot it enough to get the barrel broken in. I will likely shoot 55gr for now. Ill play with it until I find what it likes best though

10 twist is just an odd twist but with that barrel length it ought to make 40gr vmax and varmageddons exploded pretty nice.

Isn't the barrel itself marked with the twist rate? I'm unfamiliar with Krieger barrels aside from knowing that they're high quality, but literally every rifle barrel I've seen has the twist rate somewhere on it.

The only markings on the rifle are underneath the barrel nut.

    "P P"
    "06-01-12"
"WHM 8T" (Maybe the 8t is the twist rate... I dunno)
    "0644"

I thought krieger marked their barrels with their brand. I am not going to complain one way or another, I was given this barrel for a simple duracoat job I did for a friend. He said it was krieger.. I'm not seeing it anywhere. It's a quality barrel, no doubt.. But I am not so sure it's krieger anymore. I'm not going to be terribly critical over what was essentially a free barrel.
