    Just go to anywhere that issues them (Walmart/Bass Pro) and they can help you with it. If you plan on hunting public land, I think that part is somewhere in the range of $48.

    Make sure you get your hunters safety course done. There's several places that charge for it. The OG who set it up is the NRA and they still offer it for free - https://nra.yourlearningportal.com/Course/HuntersEdActivityInfoPage. Plan on it taking about a full day. If you have a job with a computer, you can get it done while you do your work.
