This coming weekend (3-4 Aug)? Then you might be in luck. The SAXET gun show will be this weekend, at the SA Event Center (410 & Marbach). Doors open at 9am Saturday and Sunday, and some of us meet up at the IHOP just outside the parking lot an hour before the Saturday show for breakfast. Come on out.
Being that you're not a Texas resident you will have to go through a FFL either way (shop or show), as you cannot buy a handgun via a private sale.
As for good eats, this town is full of 'em. You can tell just by looking at the locals!
