Never been to a big city gun show but Kingsland or Buchanan dam would be a toss up tween the two.

If you are going to post statewide, and not just local, you need to include "The Real Gun Show", that promoter's shows are by far the worst that come to the Houston area.

There is no such thing as a "bad" gun show. All affirm our God-given right to self defense.

Some may be better than others.

To condemn a particular gun show is like picking one hooker over another.

There are such things as bad gun shows! Trust me, I've been to enough of them (and most have been TGS events!). Overpriced admission, lack of vendors, small number of tables all are factors that contribute to a show being deemed 'bad.' I will also include that the further I drive, the better I expect the show to be. Having gotten up at 0400 on a Saturday morning to drive to Houston for what I was told was the 'best gun show in Texas' only to find the local monthly show had the same selection and prices would cause me to label the Houston show a 'bad' one (true story).

Now, naturally some shows are better than others, as I stated we drove down to the first Floresville show and while we didn't get much (some 8mm ammo and a spam can opener), we thought it was a good show. That said, I've driven to Austin for several of the TGS shows there and was disappointed every time. We've gone to the Live Oak show a number of times (always sucks), the Alzafar show in Stone Oak (usually OK, but not great); but the two shows that can usually be depended on are the monthly SAXET show at 41) & Marbach and the Premier Gun Show events at the Freeman Expo Hall. We don't always buy things at these shows, but for the price of admission there is a lot to look at and plenty of people to talk guns with!
