Hate to make this my first post, but I figure you have to start somewhere.

Columbus Day weekend, I visited my family in CA, and my apartment was broken into. Among the items stolen was the Walther PPK/S my dad gave me as a gift when I commissioned as a 2Lt in the Air Force.

It's a bit late to report, I guess, but here's the info on my gun:

    Interarms Walther PPK/S
    Handgun, .380acp
    Stainless steel, 3.35" bbl
    1 Finger extension magazine
    Serial# S113365

Thieves left the case, CA ownership papers, cleaning supplies, and extra magazine. Insurance was great about getting me the monetary value back, but the sentimental value is invaluable. I really hope I'll get this gun back someday.

Thanks and glad to be a member of the forum.

Sorry to hear of the break in. Will add this to my watch list and circulate the S/N to my local dealers and pawn shops.

You never know where or when this will turn up.

    Hope it is recovered soon.

I'm on the west side, Sea World-ish area. I'm a little north of 410, just off Culebra.

It was really surprising because the apartment complex I'm in is pretty nice, and when I told people where I was looking for a place, everyone said I should be pretty safe, that it was a decent area.

Sorry this happened. What side of town do you live on?

It sounds like It was a quick break end. Most likely it was traded for drugs. The cops will pick it up sooner or later. Check all the pawn shops in the seedy part of town.
