We got our dog on the side of the road, and my wife has been begging me to do this.

She (the dog) is def part pit bull. But seems to have lab hair. And she is sweet / goofy like a lab, and loves to retrieve.

I'm leaning towards doing it. I've already spent about $2k on that friggin dog. She was almost dead when we got her. What's another $200? Besides three bottles of scotch, a case of ammo......

Not concerned with possible health conditions. Already crossed all those bridges. Curiosity....

She looks like a pit, head, body shape, etc. But all pits I've been around have thin hair. Its just not very thick at all. Some with white hair, you can even see their skin under the hair.

But our girl has hair so thick that its a real chore to put on the flea, tick, heartworm med. The med that you place on the skin on her neck. I used to raise labs, and it honestly seems as thick as lab hair. It about as course as lab hair, but its short like pit hair. Very odd.
