Over many years, all of my critters have been rescues - down to only 2 now, but 1 is almost young...and very loving, though she's been obviously abused. Every time I to go to pet her (at least 8/10 times daily) and stroke her, she initially ducks like she's been hand hit much in her past. It breaks my heart......but she's slowly coming around and now seeks out my attention.....which gladdens my heart.....now too often follows me for more attention that I'm glad to provide as i get as much (or more) out our exchanges of affection as she does.

Ok, I'll stop.

We got our dog on the side of the road, and my wife has been begging me to do this.

She (the dog) is def part pit bull. But seems to have lab hair. And she is sweet / goofy like a lab, and loves to retrieve.
