    DARPA has been talking about this for 20 years. Although they may be able to pull it off. I'd be curious how effective it is at shorter ranges since your margin for error when changing direction is much smaller.

    This concept has been around for a long time. There was a 30mm then a 25mm "intelligent" round. With modern technology, a .50 caliber round doesn't surprise me.
