Let's see. Most of you are talking beer, which I never developed a taste for, so...

    Ace or Hornsby's ciders.
Give me a decent margarita (rocks, no salt or no tip!) and I'm happy.
    Ditto for a mojito.
Or something like a Smirnoff Ice if none of the above is available or appropriate.

For what I really like to sit down and drink... I'm not much of a bar person, partly because I don't like paying what bars ask when I can just buy the same stuff and drink it at home. And partly because I'm just not a bar kind of person...

    I have expensive taste...

    • Glenlivet 12 years old (holy crap, you have to try this stuff! Expensive though.)
    • Stolichnaya Vodka (it's a sin to mix this, too).
    • Cazadores Reposado tequila. Soooooo damn good.
    • Most other all-agave reposados. Don't give me that silver or gold crap unless we're making margaritas. Otherwise an anejo is acceptable.
    • Jack Daniels.

I'm sure I'm missing a few of my favorites (beyond the ones I list below), but I can't think of any others I'd rather be drinking. ;)

Any one ever try Mount Gay rum?
That stuff is o smooooth you can drink is out of a 100 degree bottle!

I love that stuff! Discovered it in another gun nut's liquor cabinet up in Lake Tahoe area. It's my favorite rum by far and I won't mix it with anything.

Well dont laugh to hard But I dont drink much but when I do it
usualy is a Mikes cranberry lemonade about a 6 pack a year.

I like most of the Mike's drinks.

Smirnoff Ice and mojitos? WHOA! Now I know who's been whistling "It's Raining Men!"

Ok, let's start off with the beers:

    • Just about anything from New Belgian Brewery; Fat Tire, Sunshine, 1554, Blue Paddle
    • Sam Adams October Ale, Boston Lager
    • Santa Fe Nut Brown Ale
    • Maredsou
    • Shiner 100, Commemorato?, Black, Hefeweizen
    • Many more

    Then the liquors:

    • My favorite is a good single malt scotch
    • Balvenie 21 year is at the top
    • Balvenie 15 Rum Cask is nice
    • Glenlivet 18
    • Glenlivet 12 is really good for a cheaper scotch

Not a connoisseur of the following, but I know what I like:

    • Tequila: Reserva 1800 Anejo
    • Rum: Myers Dark or Captain Morgan Private Reserve
    • Other: Tuaca and Bailey's Irish Cream
    • Port: Fonseca 10 year tawny port (great with cigars!)

    Cigars:

    • All Time Favorite: CAO Soprano's Edition
    • CAO Brazilia
    • CAO Americana
    • Macanudo Maduro
    • Romeo y Julieta Maduro
    • Fonseca Maduro
    • Excaliber
    • Partagas maduro
    • Lot's more. That's all I can think of at the moment.

I'm new to the scotch game, and I'm happy with Johnny Walker Black, but I'm going to have to try some of these others! It's kinda a shame you get numb so fast with a good spirit, you lose some of the flavor which for me is most of the reason to drink.

Double, we're going to have to have a scotch party.

Never could get into the Johhny Walker, just doesn't taste good to me. A co-worker of mine gave me another drink to try though. He said a warm glass of crown royal and a package of hot cocoa mix. He says it's the best drink when camping and that it doesn't have the bite you would think it would. Sounds tasty and I can't wait till it gets cool enough to try out.

My wife bought a bottle of Cabo Wabo because she thought the bottle was "a pretty blue color!". So I did the polite thing and drank all the tequila and left the empty bottle for her. When asked why I drank it all, I told her "You said you wanted to keep the bottle, not what was inside of it."... Yep. Sleepin on the couch wasn't that bad after the first 2 nights.:banghead:
