I bought some bulk 9mm brass & started to deprime it. I came across 2 pieces that have a thicker wall from the base, up the case about 3/4 & then the wall thins up the last 1/4...almost a way to only seat the bullet so far. I measured the wall thickness with my calipers & the thicker wall down low was .051, the thin walls were .015.
Anyone know why this is? 20190320_182755.jpg

    Recycle them.

Not worth the effort to make a special load for them.

Less volume means more pressure so your normal load may be too much.

Maxxtech brass? Comes and goes, just pitch it. I'm convinced it is about manufacturing and bullet setback. The extra brass involved costs more than the powder saved I'd bet.
