Either way, I say that we do some "scientific testing" and get some slicks (heck, I'll pay for the slicks and track time!!) and see what an old hemi charger can do...now where is that old hemi? LOL!!

I think I read an article many years ago. that similarly equipped Mopars, with the only difference being one with the 426 Hemi, and the other with a 440 engine, the 440 was quicker in the quarter mile.

Watching drag races always gets the blood pumping, but a good old-fashioned heads-up race between a pair of rare and classic Mopars is like an extra shot of adrenaline.

IMO, the biggest limiting factor were the tires available at the time.
