I worked for an FFL for years. I have had several call backs after the the 3 day limit. Only once they asked if there was a transfer on a denial. It was a denial. They asked what and hung up. Got a call the next day for a copy of the paper 4473. Never heard anther word.
That is a Law Enforcement job. Not a ctizens job that followed the applicable laws. The ATF, FBI or local LE will go pick up the gun. And make any arrests that are called for.

Why would anyone think they are going to send an unarmed citizen to pick up a gun from a possible felon in posession? That's just dumb. Especially considering they now need to file new felony charges and need the gun for evidence.

Its not the FFLs responsibility that would be up to law enforcement.

You know that, and I know that, but stuff happens.

Oh, you do? You know this first hand or just what the FFL told you?

It's an FFL that I trust. I believe his response was something to the effect of, "That's your job, not mine."

The ATF is never going to tell the FFL to do that.

Yeah, just like they're never going to tell an FFL to complete a suspicious transfer of numerous military-style firearms, yet we have Fast & Furious as proof they did repeatedly.

Uh transfer isn't the same as going to someone's residence to reclaim a fire arm. The ATF isn't going to tell an FFL to do that. If the FFL told you that then he made it up.

It was a Field & Stream counter boy, who thought he was somebody, that got this thread started - I Think.

Yeah... I don't know how many folks they added but I do know they're working 12hrs a day. Errr.... they're there 12 hrs a day.
I guess I'm lucky. When I got my LTC a little over 4 years ago, my LTC arrived exactly 22 days after I sent everything in.

What year were the LTC first given out?
Never mind. Looked it up. They started 1 January 1996. I got mine in Feb. of 1996. I sent my paperwork in either late November or early December of '95.
