I went to to high school in Brownsville, and then later moved to Houston and then Fort Worth.

I had a girlfriend from Weslaco, back in the day. I was in high school at the time, and living in Houston. We met several summers in a row at Garner State Park, and picked up right where we left off.

I always wondered what happened to her.

Well. If he is in his early 40's....

Weslaco was a million miles away back then, or so it seemed. We actually wrote several letters to each other over the years -mainly to coordinate the times our families would be staying near Garner. I think there may have been 1 or 2 long-distance phone calls involved.
Things were a whole lot different back then.
