As a soon to be new to the area person, I was curious what the gun shows are like in the area?

Not much Milsurp.....lots of non gun items....I do occasionally run across a good deal....haven't run across any true bulk ammo deals for quite awhile....

Jerkey n toys. Like most places now days with a lower ratio of guns.

One thing I miss from AZ is the SAR show in December. It's still a true gun show that takes two, sometimes, all 3 days to get thru.

I do miss one of the last periods of the mil surp golden days of the early to mid 90s and before. Whole Crates of cosmoline covered goodness full of Turkish mausers, 91 and 44 nagants, all flavors of sks's for less than what one specimen brings today. Not to mention even further back in time when ww2 stuff was being given away for a small adoption fee. It cost more for the lunch at the dairy queen than it did for the gun.

Thanks, now I'm depressed. I need to go kick myself for a while.
