This entire kerfluffle is BS. HB 316, the bill which would have mandated that DPS carry out this program, died in the Calendars committee and never even passed one chamber. The money funding the program was sneaked into the budget but there is no law saying the funds must be spent. The entire media campaign is the antis spinning this as a great "victory" and proof to their followers they "did something."

I saw one Democrat speaking about it a few weeks ago. She said her dad was shot by a burglar with his own gun because it wasn’t locked in a safe.

I’m thinking, maybe her Dad was shot because he didn’t shoot the burglar?

I am thinking that her dad is a generational victim who has taught generational victimization to his heirs.

Just think though if the gun was locked in a Safe then the bad guy could have beat the father to death with a hammer or untill he told him the combination or stabbed him to death after having his way with him. I would much rather be shot with my own gun at least I had a chance.

It was to fund a public service announcement. Seems that if you have guns you should already know to keep your guns and children from being unsupervised.

Looks like an advertising program to promote gun safety, no? Yup, easiest way to get credit for doing nothing. This year they basically did nothing but spend money for schools and increase teacher pay - so the illegals can continue to speak Spaniol.
