Started with a 45, moving towards 9mm for daily carry.

on the rifle side 5.56 and now I think I just got the 300 AAC bug...so as soon as my stamp comes Im going to shoot the hell out of 300. already started stocking up on ammo.

Started with .45acp for carry and competition 8 years ago. Rising ammo prices pushed me to 9mm exclusively for several years, now getting back into .45acp a little bit. For rifles, started with 7.62X39, but now exclusively .223/5.56

Every caliber I can get my hands on.

First were: .22 lr, .243, 20ga, 9mm, in that order.

    Currently shooting .22lr, 22 TCM, 9mm, .40, .45, .38spcl/.357, .223/5.56, .243, 7.62X39, .308, 25-06, .50 BMG, 20ga, 12 ga.

Calibers I've had but moved on: .380, .22 Hornet. Just couldn't find use for the hornet but might get another someday. 45-70, sold cause I needed money.

Calibers I want: all of them.

I think if i had to id go strictly 762x39 but 556 plus 308 seem to go together very well.

    What made you switch?

    9mm and .223

In pistols, there just isn't anything any of the larger common pistol calibers really offer substantially over 9mm that justifies (for me) the increased expense in ammo or larger and more cumbersome guns. Pistol calibers are all anemic. When I have the time and money, I'll probably get some more stuff in .45acp and get back into it a bit again. Until then, my range trips and training opportunities are so few lately that I can't justify anything except 9mm and training with a purpose.

I started off with .40sw and a SW99, then .45acp and a SIG P220. Fun way to start out for sure, and I even remember paying something like $6.99 or $7.99/bx at Academy for .45acp several years ago! Wouldn't it be nice if it actually got back there again!

.223 for rifles. It's common and it works well enough. I can barely find the time to shoot rifles, and almost all of that time I dedicate to pistols since it's more what I need. When I can find the time, .223 works fine, it's my fundamentals that need the work. I'd like another 7.62x39 AK, and plenty of other cool stuff in different calibers, but just can't justify it right now, and .223 is just easy.

9mm, 10mm, 45ACP, 45 Colt, and .223 mostly. Some .22lr every now and then. Never owned a .40 S&W and probably won't be getting one anytime soon. I have a .243 and a hundred rounds of home made ammo, but haven't shot it in 20 years.

I find myself mostly shooting my 7.62x54r and 39 rifles ALOT more lately. Probably because they are the cheapest rounds to find and buy lately

Started with 9mm, then .45ACP, .38spl/.357mag, then .22LR, then .380ACP. Got rid of the .38spl/.357mag and the .380 and I'm holding at 9mm and .45ACP for my pistols. Even got a 9mm revolver so I can have one wheel gun in the collection.

For rifles I tried .270 winchester, but I didn't like the recoil, so I got rid of it and picked up a 300 blackout bolt gun, then a 300 blackout 10.5" upper (waiting on the stamp). I have owned (and sold) several ARs. I imagine that I'll eventually buy/build one that I will keep and finally have to keep .223/5.56 on hand in quantity. Right now ARs are so cheap to build (if you watch for sales), but they trade really well. I'll build one and say "I'm keeping this", but before long I find someone with something to trade, so I'll let the AR go. At the very least, I plan to buy a decent upper to swap on to my registered lower.

.22LR for both pistol and rifle, and 12 gauge shotgun are both staples, like bread and butter.

    What I use regularly:
Handguns - 9mm for EDC, 45ACP for going out to the deer lease and home protection, .22lr revolver for plinking - need ammo
    Rifles - .308

Ammo that I have and the guns that use themr:
    30-30 I haven't shot in 10+ years
    .223 I have never shot
12 GA I have never shot

Currently working on getting into 300 blk for hunting piggies. Would love to build a 6.5/6.8 but can't yet justify the price increase over 300. Plus its not like hardly anybody hunts piggies at anything over 150yds here in Texas and 300 supers work great within that range. Can't wait till I get my upper finished so I can see how accurate my barrel is.

Used to have 9mm and .380. Now have 9mm and .40 and .22lr
Reason for .40 is it's easily available, can get as much as I want locally with no problems.

I used 9 and went to 40 for concealed carry; would like to use 45 but have that and 00 buck for home defense until I find a 45 that I can carry more easily; and finally I'm starting to get into rifles again and so I'll be using 556 & 308 for target practice and skills development (hell...probably home defense as well).

Shooting less 9mm and more .40S&W. Last year, before I started hand loading , I could find .40's when all other pistol rounds were cleaned out. Supposedly DHes has billions of .40 to "share" with citizens.

Generally .45ACP for pistols (though I occasionally mess around with 9mm and .357MAG)

For rifles it's pretty much anything I have, but I plan on spending a lot of time with 5.56mm and 7.62x51mm here in the near future.

This year I went to 6.8SPC for hunting. I've also gone back to 7.62x39 and 54r for the price, still about the cheapest rifle ammo around. As for handguns I am gravitating back to 9MM. I've been finding it at my local Wally World quite often.
