I just ordered a bunch of repack boxes. I bought way more 45s than I need so if anyone's interested in some let me know.

I ran 325± 223s last night using my new auto drum powder measure. Iset it up with the bead chain pulling it back into position. Just for pure curiosity I decided to weight a few rounds afterward to see how much variation there was. Sure enough I found out I didn't charge about 90 cases... I pulled 50 already but got tired of whacking the puller. I'm gonna have to check around for the cause and maybe look into upgrades/modifications to make this thing more reliable.

Anyone use one of these on a progressive? Any advice?

Since I have down time waiting for my dies to come in I got bored & did some polishing to my Dillion. I polished the die plate, advanced lever at the time this pic was taken. Theres some more parts to polish, just a start for now. 20190212_144019.jpg

Have my 6.5mm case screwups soaking in water. Planning to get them resized/deprimed this weekend.

Finished polishing all the cast aluminum. I'd say I got about 14 hours into polishing everything. Only part left i have left is the powder feeder.

Nothing really. Just moved into a new to me house. I have a bench ready. I was reloading with a lee hand press. Looking forward to getting a bench press soon and churning out some ammo. I just need to decide what all I want to get.

I made a few 180 grn XTP 357 Magnums, then broke my depriming pin. So I shifted to 44 Magnum and loaded 150 easy on the wrist lead plinkers. Of course I also made 50 extra hot 240 grn XTP loads while I was at it.

I got my repack boxes in so I've been filling them up. I was able to talk the guy into smaller quantities for several calibers as well so I can box up all the old stuff I loaded in 38 and 40 as well as a bunch of older stuff I have still laying around. I love these boxes but they do take some time to load them.

Yesterday I took my dad to the range. Loaded up 30 rounds of 223 using h4198 I had left over from the AK days. Everyone said it wasn't a good powder for 223. I was pretty happy with it. Accurate enough, mild recoil, and all my brass stayed in a neat little pile right outside the gun. The h335 loads were spraying brass everywhere.

Loaded up 113 more this morning. Going to open up another box of Berry's bullets and finish off what I have left of the powder later. Might have another 300 rounds worth or so.

Sorted my clean 45 brass by headstamp and then sized a good pile of it. My 5 year old even helped me.

She's informed me that when she's not working as a zookeeper, she wants to make bullets in her free time like her daddy. She's already asked me to give her my press when she's old enough. This kid is too much.

Wow! I just dump it in the collator and start pulling the magic handle. Every 200 rounds I have to empty the bin that collects the loaded rounds.

Love it when things get crunchy when seating the bullet.
