Why do haters not like .257 Roberts?
I'm a jap rifle guy. Lots of those we're rechambered to 6.5x257roberts. I had one but didn't get shit for accuracy with 257 bullets. I always wanted to load 6.5x257 but just never got around to it,

I found out I can use my 6.5cm die & caliber plate on .45acp to deprime so i can clean my brass until I get a .45acp die set.
IIRC, you're fairly new to reloading, right? If so, I promise that over the coming years you'll find many more non-manufacturer-sanctioned combinations of tooling to do things that you need done.

Because 25-06 does the same thing better.

Knew one old boy that had one. Bragged on it incessant for S. Texas deer slaying. Neighbor in Young County had a Savage lever in .250-3000. That could thin out the herd too.

Have you shot the 147s yet? Interested in your experience.

I bought some for suppressed use but kind of fizzed out after reaching a desired load but I was using Acme powder coated.

Won another raffle. Trying to pick out a pair of guns. Started looking up load data on a 375 mag and even handloading I'll be out a buck fifty! The upside, no dinosaurs are getting me!

Well I settled for a Mossberg 243 bolt gun and a Ruger 223 bolt gun. Why? Because my wife said (in an accusitory tone), "when are you actually going to shoot something, let alone a moose or a bear or a dinosaur?"

The upside is I already load for 223 and just got a free set of 243 dies so I'm good to go there. Also have powder for both. Gonna lookup 243 load data and look into some of the heavy 75+gr 223s

Just got around to looking it up, it's 1:8. I also remembered yesterday that I have 250 65 or 68 gr match bullets I picked up in a raffle win as well. All the other bullets I have are 55gr so I wasn't sure what I was gonna do with those anyway!

I loaded about 50 rounds of 32 H&R magnum, starline cases, winchester primers, 4 gr of Unique and 100 gr missouri coated bullets. Also did 100 rounds of 45 with speer 230 CPRN, 6,4 gr Unique. This will last about 30 minutes at the range tomorrow but thats ok, I have about another 300 to bring along with my 9mm so I will be good for a few hours!!

Finally got around to trying out some of my wadcutters I loaded with 2.7 gr of titlegroup. 7 or 10 yards, 2” barreled model 10-5 with gutter sights.

Not my best work. I haven’t been to the range in quite some time.

Shot my 45 ACP reloads today. Didn't die.

The lightest loading of 4.2 gr of HP 38 wouldn't cycle the action. 4.6 gr would cycle the action but were really sooty and left unburned powder behind. Need to make them hotter now. Didn't have any issues with OAL so I seem to have that dialed in.

Worked up some exploratory test loads to decide which powder I want to use for .223 paper punchers.

Not sure which model .243 you have, but it can be an excellent long range target caliber if the rifle has a good barrel on it and a fast enough twist for heavier match bullets.

    Easily reach past 1,000 yards.

Patriot synthetic with a vortex scope. Just picked it up today. I was Ted to take it to the range today but I had my journeyman electrician test today and that took too long so I didn't make it. Maybe next weekend.
