Well I loaded my first 40 12ga shells last night. Only 360 more to go before I run out of primers!

I also won an RCBS single stage press but I think k I'm gonna trade it for store credit for some HP 9mm bullets.

Primed 40+ 300BLK cases and going to drop some powder in them and stuff a bullet in them later on this afternoon. Good day for being in the Man Cave, wet outside but not really raining.

Loaded up some 22 Creed tonight. Hoping to see some critters this weekend to test them out on. c90977ad3fc972bd10bc4f3707b0f46d.jpg

100 more 12ga tonight. Wife is going out of town for a week with the kids so maybe I'll go out and unload them this weekend.

These loads are pretty tame with an 80gr vld only going 3125fps. After a powder change it should be good for 3400 with the same bullet.

Finally broke down and bought a couple of 3 way cutters for my Forster case trimming tool. Ended up needing to get the longer base as well - the way the head attaches to the existing tool it eats up a whole lot of the space between the ends and changing brass was a bigger PITA than normal. I think it will work pretty well now, and eliminate some of the things I hate most about reloading - chamfering and deburring brass. Still not perfect, but way, way, way better than doing it by hand.

I use that too, the 3 way heads are great. Are you doing a magnum case because I was able to do standard rifle cases by just making adjustments to the regular base.?

Nope, just standard .223 and .243. I wasn't aware of the additional tapped holes on the collars until after I'd got my new base in and removed them, so there is some wiggle room that I simply didn't know about. I do like the longer base though, much more room and just a lot easier to get brass in and out versus the standard length base.

I'll pick up a .30 cal whenever the opportunity hits, the extra room will be nice on .30-06 and even my .300 WSM.
