Loaded up a hundred of each of these. Also got some of these in to play with. They seem pretty similar in profile to the DTAC that I'm already running. Not sure I'll use them in a match but for killing critters they will probably excell at like the old rem bronze points used to.

Good stuff. I hate it when you've got a load dialed in, and the manufacturer stops making the bullet.
I long ago ran out of my favorite 190 grain .308 Hornady match bullets. They were something special out of one of my Wichitas. I think I shed a tear when they went out of production.

Separated, tumbled, and dried about 2 gallons of brass...still have another 2-3 gallons left to go... really need a bigger tumbler.

Loaded 274 rounds of 9mm today using MG 124gr JHPs and Power Pistol.

Shot the 150 rounds I loaded yesterday morning (same load as above) that afternoon. I don’t normally shoot that many rounds in a session but was breaking in a Glock 43 and 48. The Ruger PC 9mm carbine I also had with me is hard to keep fed.

FYI: 100 rounds of the ammo I loaded and shot yesterday had misshapen primers due to previously crimped and tight primer pockets and softer primers. I was concerned a few may not fire, but they all fired perfectly. So, a misshapen or flat primer will probably fire just fine for practice use.

To be fair, I do it for a living unlike the vast majority of reloaders. You can't load a hundred thousand Colt on a Dillon unless you like Popeye arm.

Nice. Although I would beg to differ, on a small point: Automated systems, like the Mark 7, make it pretty easy to load commercially on a Dillon... although a Star/Ammoload, of course, are far more robust machines. I only work Dillons by hand when doing very low-count runs. My primary use for the 1050s at this point is always 5k or larger runs, which normally takes 3 hours, each, total, and my hands are only used to feed cases, primers, powder and projectiles.

Although, to be honest, when I do 45LC, I only do 1000-1500, so I guess there are some runs of less than 5k I do on a 1050 Mark 7.

Dang! Rhetorical question but where do you store all this ammo? I have a 12x8 closet I work out of and that ncludes storage space. I’m graduating from 12” deep shelves to 18 or 20/24”s cause storing rounds in plastic coffee/creamer cans only works at three high or less. Taller and the cans break when knocked over and that low keeps them out of my line of sight upon entry and egress, not to mention dragging in the shopvac after a major decapping run!

If that was to me, I don't store much: I go through 3k to 6k a month of 9mm, 40, and 45, and another 2-3k of 5.56, and a few other rounds... What I do store, I keep in 30 and 50cal ammo cans, inside of gallon ziplocs w/descicant packets inside... I have about 8-10 ammo cans with loaded ammo around most of the time. Those all go under my racks in the gun room (see pic). Pic is of the gun room...although I do keep extra dies, and presses that aren't being used at the moment in there, too... There are 30, 50, and plastic ammo cans around the periphery of the room, starting in this pic...

Test loads, and loads for 6.5 creedmoor and grendel, and various other rifle rounds that I don't shoot or load a ton of go into ziplocs w/descicant (how do you spell that freaking word?) and into various pockets of my range bags, normally with their corresponding magazines.

200-300 rounds/day average+, assuming those pistol rounds are aggregate and not additive.

    Not bad.

When I'm home, I hit the range almost every day...maybe 6 out of 7 if I'm home for a week. About 1/2 the time, a brother, cousin, friend or nephew is with me. I try and run a minimum of 5, and normally shoot for 10 pistol drills every range day, no matter what else I do, so that's 90-150 rounds right there. Add carbine drills (mostly 9mm ar, but sometimes 5.56), and 3 gun drills, and I shoot a fair bit.

    Yeah, a fair bit!

Where I shoot now it’s pretty much Fudd. I’m sposed to wait 3-4 seconds before each shot but I’m usually at 2-3.
It’s outdoors, and I’m thankful to have it but I long for a weekend at Mickey Lowrey’s in Sand Branch, just south of Dallas. Not really any rules, just be safe and shoot south although he did put an end to the drive by rehersals(which I never understood anyway).

To me bullseye at 25yds is tiresome even though we can set our own targets closer.
