Get some brass pipe screens. Now put a patch on a jag and the pipe screen on top of that. The combo removes lead from a barrel real quick.

Or you can use a 50/50 combo of H2O2 and acetic acid. The dip cleans out lead RFN, however the liquid is somewhat toxic after it's used so take the appropriate precautions.

Good choices on powder. I've got a couple buckets of BLK if you are in the Austin area. I dont load it anymore so I normally sell it off.

Finished base sizing a drum of 40 while I loaded 9, processed 40, put together some 454 Casull samples and then worked on my 45-70 loads for testing tomorrow.

Hmmmm.... I've never been to Austin. After spending 25 years in Portland I've received my lifetime liberal dosage.

Dang. Did they use lube when they raped you on those primers?!? Thats outrageous.

But seriously, gotta start somewhere. I've had that same caliper for 15 years now and out it through some shit. Shit meaning left outside and wet and stuff. It has just recently started giving me fits where if you touch it in the wrong spot it will change to a different reading thats 5" off or it will re-zero where it's at. As you can imagine this makes it annoying to measure oal with one hand while holding the round with the other. Moral of the long-winded story, that's a good caliper and will last a long time if you don't abuse it.

Thanks for the tip on the batteries. What is a good price for primers?? I don’t want to over again if $4.99 is high

Sometimes Cabela's will have them for $29/1000. One time they were $20/1000 for a while. I bought a bunch and just now am burning through the last of them. If you can get them under $35/1000 it's a fair price but shop around and see what you can find.

Academy was $4.99 so $5. But $30.00 for 1000 is better

I deprimed 100 45schofield brass but then got distracted by one of my guitars that's been calling my name. Maybe I'll load them this weekend if I can keep the guitars at bay.

God I need to load some real rifle cartridges. Been playing around with .357 magnums for too long. Prepped a bunch of 6.5 CM brass.
