Today I have been rearranging my shelves of reloading components.
It’s like Christmas in August , I found yet more .556 ammo I loaded last year, some 62 gr steel core .
The AC is chugging right along, it’s a great day in the neighborhood.

Just last week I was looking through my shed for oil and I found a giant tupperware container filled with 2-3k cases of .223 and other calibers. I forgot I had lugged that thing all the way down from the north to Denton to my current house.

Sometimes having a bad memory pays off !

I powder coated a bit much of 9, 45, and 308 bullets this week. Last night I started sizing some of the 9s using my Lee APP press. That thing is neat for sizing bullets. The only problem is the catch can is a little small. I'll finish sizing those this weekend.

Academy had another box of 458 300g bullets. Kudos to @ROGER4314 for turning me on to those. I always pick one up if they have it. I need to load another 100. Love that SOCOM.
I have a 450bm. Several times but be was ndered if the 458socom would have been a better choice. This 450 beats my arm up pretty hard. I just ordered a heavier h2 buffer for it though so hopefully this weekend I can test it out.

A buddy has a 450BM, and he hates it for the same reason. My 458 has the recoil of a light 12 gauge load. Not bad at all, in fact I love to shoot that thing. Still waiting on a chance to pop a hog with it.

Love my 450. You need to try a brake on it, mine kicks about like a 20 gauge slug.

I tested some of my.better 450bm loads with a new heavier buffer in the AR. That thing shoots like a dream now. The loads are great. Using a blackhound scope I hit at 300 yards on one of 3 attempts just using the hash marks on the scope.

Bought and used a bullet puller to remove bullet from goofed round. The went to retrieve the bullet by gently shaking from the puller over an open powder can plop went the bullet and buried itself in the powder

I tried out a Frankford arsenal pile driver. It broke on the 8th round. I sent it back and they sent me a.new one but I haven't opened it. I picked up an RCBS collet puller and it was pretty neat. Went faster than I expected. I highly recommend it.

If using a hammer puller I dump rounds into a plastic cup and them pick out the bullets before dealing with the powder.

As for the pile driver, well, it's still sitting under my bench. Maybe someday I'll **** with it again. I wasn't impressed though.

I use a hammer type, think its a Lyman.
I added a pvc pipe cap on the end after seeing stress cracks.
