I'll have to save up my pennies and buy a Giraud someday. They're always well regarded by owners. For now I'll make due with the lyman. I just FL sized a few 308 cases that I bought polished and decapped. Looking to get a few hundred ready for some Federal mag match vs fed 210 primer comparisons.

It is hot today. AC is fine if you aren't moving much. But a little loading and you need the ceiling fan on too.

Your crimp die wont remove the flare? If it is too bad you could FCD them to bring it back enough to shoot and try again.
This was done over a period of weeks!

Today I found I had too much flare so I resized it and will start over in the morning while it’s cool.

    Thanks Deavis.

Be careful with superformance it can give great speeds but isn't very temp stable unless they have changed it recently.

I got to monkey with my Lee 8-23 case trimmer on my Lyman case prep station and cut out military crimp on some .223 brass as well

New 308 is incoming very soon so I did a brass inventory to see what brand I am going to use for this gun

I reserve Hornady for my Ruger American and it looks like Federal will be for the Sauer once it gets here

Went and shot a few different loadings today. Got up to about 1 grain under published max charge and everything looked great. No pressure signs at all. And, that charge put 3 shots at less than 1/4 MOA! In fact, every group I shot was .75 MOA or better. Those 147 grain ELD Match bullets are fantastic. Gonna load up the rest of the brass I have prepped (probably about 40 pieces) and see how they perform out to 500 yards Wednesday.
