Been processing some 6.5 grendel for my boss so I had to put those big boxes of 9s and 223s on hold. The 6.5s just went for their last baths. They're gonna get primed tonight and then I'll work up some loads for him.

For the grendel I have 123 eld-m and 123 a-max. I'm not too sure about loading the amax though as I don't think they make those anymore. What bullets are you using?

good grief.... you buckin' for a raise? What is that, about 500-600 or so? I thought I had a bunch with my 200-ish cases.Been processing some 6.5 grendel for my boss so I had to put those big boxes of 9s and 223s on hold. The 6.5s just went for their last baths. Just primed the 6.5s last night. There were 576 of them. Boss man is a friend so helping him out. He's buying materials. I'm just putting it together. Tonight after work I'll load up 4 or 5 test loads for him to try out this weekend. After we figure out what works best I'll run the rest.good grief.... you buckin' for a raise? Yeah.... I have a friend at work that doesn't reload, so I end up loading some for him, as well. His dad reloaded, and when he passed, my friend had a lot of stuff to get rid of.... his dad's friends got a lot of it, but he also passed along a bunch of components and things to me....Just primed the 6.5s last night. I’ve considered getting another 550 to have a dedicated large and small press, but every time I think about shelling out the cash I realize I can change back and forth in under 5 minutes. So why spend the $650?Ordered the last of the parts I needed for my 650 that will be a dedicated large primer press
If you look long enough you can find some good prices on used presses. Still may not justify the price for some, but if you are changing priming system, shell plate, tool head, and need to adjust the powder drop if using the same hopper it can save a bit of time. Having two or more presses ready to go for different calibers is pretty handy.I’ve considered getting another 550 to have a dedicated large and small press, but every time I think about shelling out the cash I realize I can change back and forth in under 5 minutes. I don’t disassemble the priming system, I just change between the large and small primer anvil. It’s pretty fast to loosen a set screw, switch anvils, push and hold the handle forward on a primed case, and tighten the set screw. If you look long enough you can find some good prices on used presses. I hear you on that. The 650 is a bit more of a pita to swap between primers so I keep my 750 set up for small and 650 now for large.I’ve considered getting another 550 to have a dedicated large and small press, but every time I think about shelling out the cash I realize I can change back and forth in under 5 minutes.
