I was just wondering what you carry with you as proof of your legal possession of NFA items when you are are outside your home?

I understand you need a copy of the stamp. Is that all you carry is a copy of the stamp? Or do you carry a copy of the entire form 4? Full size or reduced? Do you carry a copy of the first page of your trust (if applicable)?

Most people carry a copy of the approved form. Just the stamp means nothing because it doesn't have your name on it.

I carry full color copies of my form 1 and 4s plus my LLC.
Each "bag" has a dedicated copy in a plastic sleeve that is stamped copy on the face.
I also have a zippered ring binder with copies of each doc in individual sleeves that I can grab.
Originals are in a fireproof safe.

Laminated (color copy of tax stamp) full size form 4 & all updated permanent address changes (Interstate form) if applicable. Seems to work fine with no issues thus far. I would guess that a good majority of local LE will encounter their first NFA documents experience with you if you are stopped/questioned.

No. You aren't required to have anything with the items, but it's a good idea to have a copy so you can prove they are registered in case a LEO asks.

I carry my iPhone. I upload all of my forms to a cloud and then can view them on my phone. I have a pocket FFL/SOT as well.
