What do you say to your wife when she asks: "Did you buy another gun?"

    LoneStarTX,

FIRST are you FROM (and/or LIVE IN) the CITY of LONE STAR in Morris County??
(I spent most of my boyhood there & my Dad worked at Cast Iron/LSS for over 25 years.)

In the event that she asks, my answer is always, "YEP. It's a ________."

    yours, satx

    LoneStarTX,

When my lady decided to "adopt" my Model 7615 police carbine & W/O asking, she said, "This one little rifle is just my size.", "You have so many that you won't even miss this one." & "I know that you have something that you've been wanting at GT. - Now is a good time to go get it."
(Got to love a woman who KNOWS that guns are ESSENTIAL PURCHASES in a "time of civil unrest". = Fwiw, she WILL shoot to kill IF Nathan Paul, the home, me and/or her is IN DANGER.)

    yours, satx

My lady friend told me when we go together "I will not ask about your guns and stuff if you do not ask about my sewing stuff." All I could say was ok. However, she really began to wonder when she needed $1600 to upgrade the software on her Bernina - Italian made machine, sewing, embroidery, etc - and I just said go ahead.

One of the best things in my marriage, before my wife and I split up, was that as far as I can remember, she never once questioned me buying guns or ammo. Not once! Maybe she was a keeper! Then again we are still married, just separated for now.

My wife knows better than to ask.

That said, one of the benefits of her budding dementia is that she doesn't remember what I have or don't. :what:

She doesn't. She doesn't care. She has her money. I have mine. We buy what we want.
