Federal match with 69 g Sierra Match Kings is a pretty good round. I've never had problems stabilizing the 69g SMK's with my handloads in 1:9 twist rifles.
Well, I'm not really looking for .223, let alone higher than 55gr., I just did a quick search online and came up with several sites for 70gr. Mostly around $1.20 per round.

My Ruger 14, target/ranch has a thicker barrel that the regular mini 14 for a hotter round. It also came with the harmonic Damper (stabilizer). My scope was dialed in at 100 yards using,I believe, the 75 gr.

I use a debit card that I load with the amount I wish to spend for online purchases.

Didn't think about my debit card. I had always used the credit card because if it was ever compromised, my money would be put back on my card. Not sure if this is the same with my debit card or not. I'll check with my bank and find out.

    Thanks for the info.

The 69 gr I bought from Bass Pro Shops cost $1.30 a round. So, I think $1.20 isn't bad at all.

I might be wrong, but I don't think he means his actual bank debit card.
I think he means a store card that he adds money to.
    Obviously only my observation.

I haven't bought anything on line since my credit card was compromised a couple of years ago. I might have to start start buying on line again to get what ammo I need/want.

Get another credit card that you only use for online purchases. That way when it happens none of the rest of your stuff is affected and easier to fix.

Finding 223 in anything larger than 55 gr is hard to come by. I did find 2 boxes of 69 gr and bought both of them. My Ruger 14 target/ranch has the 1 in 9 also and likes 70 gr + better than than the 55 gr.
Best pawn in Denison/Sherman area has quite a few options for 223 in the heavier bullet ranges buts its all match or hunting ammo. This was a few weeks ago so not sure if this is still the case

From this point forward I am just reloading my own though. My 223 dies are in the mail

I think you are correct. But they are called pre-paid credit cards. They are like a debit card since they limited to the amount you have on the card, but like a credit card since they can be used any where a branded, (Visa/MC/Amex.) card can be used.

I have two debit cards, one is an Amex and other is Visa. They are covered against theft the same as a credit card. The only difference is if I put say $300 on it, that is it's limit, a credit card on the other hand can be used to it's credit limit.

Now I haven't been compromised as of yet, but I can imagine losing $300 would be less stressful then say $10,000, or whatever your limit may be. Plus the time involved in retrieving the amount lost can be irritating.

    I stand corrected.

For the record, I've never had to do anything to get money back when my card was compromised, other than report it to the bank

Picked up a g19, milled and ceracoated by atx Armory, suppressor hight sights, stippled

Equipped it with holosun 507c, CO witness configuration.

I really like this build... Groupings are tight at 15 yards even though I'm a lousy shot
