I picked up another Colt today, good ol’ no frills, no BS Government Model. Thanks @Geezer for enabling my habit!

Dropped into Cabela's in Waco about noon yesterday. Had a gift card to spend. Picked up 3 boxes of 5.56 FMJ (Winchester) for 70 cents per. They were putting out hundreds of boxes of FMJ and TONS of boxes of 5.56 Green Tip.

Cabelas in Waco had ammo? That's a shock....last few times I stopped there, the shelves were bare.

Picked up this Taurus TX 22 at Academy. I came with a threaded barrel adapter for a can and two magazines. The handgrip fits my large hands and has a nice balance. The magazine capacity is 16 rounds, striker fired so I should be able to save some money keeping proficient as 22LR is cheaper than 9mm.

The TX-22 is a great little gun.

I almost got one of those the other day. Somehow I managed to let it get put back into the case. Lol

Loved my TX22 until this happened today. Luckily my awesome LGS and range where I bought it, is going to handle seeing how good Taurus is with their warranty and send it in for me.

I have put probably 800-900 rounds through it. Most have been Aguilia super extra 40grain. Not suppressed. Ran 3 mags through it today, loaded the 4th and went to slingshot the slide to shoot again and the piece that broke and the spring went 10 yards down range.

Details? How many rounds through it? Ammo? Suppressed?
Have roughly 6 - 800 rounds through mine, and so far has been trouble free.
That’s the thing with Taurus. They‘re cheaper than most others and they work. Until they don’t. I have had enough bad experiences with Taurus that I’ll never own another one. Now I believe friends don’t let friends buy Taurus.

No problem. I figure I am just lucky and got a slide that had a small defect. We will see how Taurus responds.

Well shit. I just won a tx22 in a raffle a couple months ago. I put a few mags through it and it was a fun little shooter. Figure I'll keep it for my younger daughter as she's a little recoil sensitive with pistols.

I'm curious to find out how your repair goes.

I'm not too discouraged on the TX22 yet. There are too many of them out there and they get great reviews and I know there has to be people that have put a lot more rounds through them than I have so far. Mine was probably a fluke,, at least I hope so. If Taurus makes it right, I will be happy. This thing is just too much fun to shoot.
