Nice find on the Model 12, @billtool . The Model 12 has different frame dimensions that any other K frame S&W. Regular K frame grips will go on but they won't fit right. The Model 12 frame is machined narrower and there will be a gap between the frame and the grips. Also, look for a crack in the frame near where the model number is stamped inside the crane. This is the weak spot on the Airweight.
Still, a nice old Airweight gun and I just know it will be a good shooter.

They do heavily over oil their guns. Guess because of the Philippine climate and trip over here.
That's the one I have in FDE, it's a good shooter.

Man I had that same gun in 44 back in the 70’s. Got caught carrying on duty during inspection one day at the police station.
S&W model 10 .38 was our issued sidearm.

Bought a very nice Ruger SP101 today off of Texas Gun Trader. No issues at all. Met at Academy and looked it over and exchanged goods and on my way. Stopped by Oakalla as I thought there was a gun show there but wrong date.

M&P 2.0 compact optics ready with suppressor sights. My first carry pistol with optics so going all out on it with a custom build. Trijicon RMR lots of Ed Brown goodies and an Apex flat face trigger. Leather holster will require some minor trimming shouldn't be too hard to modify.
