Looks like it would be small - even in my hand
    More heft would be better..
Maybe it just looks short in the pic?

    It’s a tad larger than the S&W Model 63.
Lighter in weight by just a bit.
Trigger pull in double action is stout. I have no way to measure it but its gotta be about 18lbs or so. Not nearly as slick as a S&W.
The rubber grips helps with that tho.
I thought it would be interesting to give it a try out. My sister has the hammerless snubbie model. I was favorably impressed with it.
    We’ll see.

    That's a real problem. I've never met a factory J-frame S&W rimfire that didn't have a terrible trigger.

And here I thought those Rugers were supposed to be renowned for their good triggers. The .38 LCR triggers I've pulled have all been quite nice so I'm a bit surprised.

    Live and learn.

I've heard the lcrx and 22 revolvers in general have worse triggers than their center fire cousins. They're heavy to smack the rim extra hard.

It's new then? For some reason I thought it was used...

    Yes, brand new.
    Took it shooting just now.
Only complaint is extraction of fired cases requires a smack with something to break them loose. I used a screwdriver handle to tap it loose.
Maybe that will smooth out with some chamber burnishing. Working on that now.
Probably the ammo as well. Aquila was what I had to use today. Not my favorite ammo.
Accuracy at 25' is minute of beer can.
The grip is pretty decent. It fills my hand comfortably and helps with the double-action pull.
    Will keep piddlin' wif it.

I've noticed that with ammo too; some's tight, some's not.
I'm far enough along now where I'll start paying attention to what's going in -
and keep track of what I like. :)

The one I'm most familiar with had the sticking issues as well. But it was with the CCI Mini-Mag iirc. I'd need to check my notes to verify
