Where did you get that for $190? That's a LOT less than any place I've seen.

I believe it was called action pawn. They had a 20% off firearm deal for Father's Day. Couldn't pass it up!

You have done yourself a terrible disservice.

That Colt is good for 240 rounds. Tops!
206 rounds and you trust it still? I pity you.
    It's pretty much wore out.
Sell it to one of us while it still has a bit of life left!!!

If I find any more "good deals" I'll be broke, my dog won't talk to me and my wife will bite me!!!

A while back I sold a pretty clean 2nd gen Woodsman match target to a friend. This one is way cleaner and I just absolutely love boxes and papers.

This 3rd gen Colt was made 1962. Doing the serial number math I think it was made right about the week John Kennedy was assassinated. Nothing coincidental but it helps me, in my head, to date it.

I've said it before.....I like buying thing that cannot be had new at Academy. This is in that category.

It's possible they might have sold them at the time it was new.....

    Quite true.
    Right you are.
Academy, to my mind, is a relatively new chain, though they started in central TX in 1938.
Never knew that until your post prompted me to look.

"Academy Sports & Outdoors came into existence in 1938, when Arthur Gochman and his business partner purchased Southern Sales, a San antonio-based army-navy............"
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_Sports_%2B_Outdoors
Everything has a Wiki page these days!

As a kid I remember lusting for pistols at Oshman's and Montgomery Wards and as a teen at Dury's when it was on Southcross.
Wonder where Academy was back then??
