Picked up the S&W 629-6 2.625" barrel Performance Center edition today from a seller on Texas Gun Trader. Both had LTC so felt good about the swap. Traded an AR47 from PSA I bought long ago. Revolver also came with 100 rounds of ammo, a holster and a belt ammo carrier. Like new condition, just said he was selling as ammo was too high for it. I will reload for it. Great deal for me! Don’t know anything about Steyr other than they make the AUG rifle and bought this Steyr C9-A2 9mm on a whim just to try out. Just had shoulder surgery so haven’t gotten to shoot it yet but of all the guns I’ve ever owned this thing just felt absolutely perfect in my hands, like it was custom fit. Just been dry firing and really like the trigger a lot other than the reset point is barely noticeable, it is short though so that’s good. At first, the trapezoidal sights were definitely a little strange, but after practicing quick sight acquisition, I think I really like it a lot. Of course none of that will matter if it doesn’t shoot worth a damn, but my initial impressions tell me there will likely be a love connection :)

    Hmmm....guess he didn't notice that before buying....lol

Who knows when he bought it. Maybe he bought it and it just sat in the safe. 7.62x39 is pretty cheap right now comparatively speaking at $298 a thousand rounds so he got something he could use for pig hunting and much cheaper ammo. This is what he said he wanted in the ad or $1500. Holster and ammo were worth $200 by themselves. I only had about $550 in the rifle. The revolver is worth about double that or a little less in my opinion. An even trade was made and he was happy as was I.

I had just bought a S&W 629 Deluxe 3" barrel when this one showed up. One for each hand I guess! Or sell the deluxe and recover some money that I spent on it. Have to shoot both first though but I think the PC one will win out. The PC one only cost me a trade where the Deluxe one cost me $.
