If anyone is wondering.... the 1080rd ammo can of Korean 30 carbine I bought from Buds last week arrived and it looks amazing. Ammo and can look brand new despite being manufactured in 1985. I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

We still have my dads' 1911/Hi-Power holster made by Stelzigs in Houston about 1967. It is leather

I remember shooting 1942 .30 carbine ammo in 1975 that had been exposed to the elements and there were no duds. Between 1970 and 1978 the only carbine ammo we had was WWII surplus, so I suspect your ammo will work well. Enjoy.

400 rds 5.56, 3 boxes of 9mm, 200 rds .45 ACP, and .44 Mag SP, at Academy. People were almost running to 9mm and grabbing boxes. THEN they realized it was all steel or aluminum cased. I just went to the white box 9mm got my three.
